Joanie Steinhaus (left), Executive Director, of Turtle Restoration Network's Gulf of Mexico office - based in Galveston, was the honored as the recipient of the Rotary Club of Galveston's 2023 Environmentalist of the Year Award. In addition to this special award, Steinhaus also received a $500 contribution from the Club as a donation to the Turtle Island Restoration Network - which is a leading advocate for the world's oceans and marine wildlife.
