Members of the Rotary Club of Galveston, members of the Club's Interact Club, along with family members and friends, all participated in the recent Adopt- A- Beach Clean-Up. Sponsored by the Texas General Land Office, the Adopt-A- Beach program began in the fall of 1986, when 2,800 volunteers collected 124 tons of trash. Since that date, more than 562,000 Texas Adopt-A-Beach volunteers have picked up almost 10,000 tons of trash from our Texas beaches. (photo by Ulli Budelmann.)
